Merry Christmas!

The snow is melting a bit here in Stanwood but we figure it is going to take quite a while to melt off the 2'+ we got up here. We had to dig out almost everything, including the hot tub!

Bryan was able to clear us a path to the tub though so we had to enjoy the warm pool a bit. We turned it up to 103 just to make it nice and toasty warm.

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and we hope you all have a great 2009!

Bryan took a drive this morning to take some pictures of the valley. Here are my two favorite photos from his journey. Do you think he should be a professional? We have been seeing a lot of eagles the past few days. We hope everyone is staying warm!

We have so much snow! We measured this morning and it was at 12 inches, however much of the snow has settled. We think we have around 15 inches! We have spent most of the day sledding. Cameron loves it! He is such a trooper hiking up the hill, and his comments are so cute as he zooms down the hill. He likes to say "Move it, move it!" from Madagascar. We have been sledding on the hill right in front of our house. It is a great hill to sled on, but this afternoon the sad truck came by and ruined all of our fun. It just started to snow again this evening, so hopefully it will cover up the sand so we can have some more fun tomorrow.

The cat even loves the snow. He keeps going in and out. When he is outside he is hiking around in the snow. We always knew we had a strange cat!
I know there is a way to fix these photos, but I am too tired to try. I am getting ready to go to bed and read my new book Twilight. If you haven't read the book yet, then I suggest you get on board with the rest of the population. It is so good!
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about all of our excitement. It is a really bad sign when you come home to neighbors in your garage and water flooding your driveway. Luckily our neighbors have our house key because they heard a hissing sound coming from our garage. An insulated pipe broke and water went everywhere! Our garage is packed and Bryan has his office in there. Luckily the damage was small and Bryan was able to fix the pipe. What fun!!!

Christmas Tree Hunting

We spent Sunday with the Perrys and Connors. Our first stop was to find a tree at the Fish Creek Tree Farm. Of course the weather was great all day until we decided to get out and cut our tree. We were probably only at the tree farm for 20 minutes. Everyone found a tree fast, and then we were on our way back to our house for a lasagne dinner. Cameron wanted to choose the tree. The tree he found was about 18 inches high. Maybe next year Cameron! At our house we had kids running everywhere, but we had a lot of fun. After dinner we packed the group up and headed for the Lights of Christmas. The highlight was to see Santa. Cameron wanted to know if Santa was a good guy or a bad guy. Once I told him he was a good guy he happily went over and sat on his lap. Carter on the other hand did not like Santa. Hopefully Santa understands and will still bring him something for Christmas. We also did a group pictures with all the kids: Caedan, Cameron, Kyla, Olivia and Carter. I am not sure how pleased Santa was, but he was a good sport about the crying babies. This is our 2nd year getting a tree with this group. Hopefully it will be our tradition in the years to come.

We had part 1 of Jenna's memorial today at Kyle and Rachel's cabin on Whidbey Island. She loved the cabin, and was always so happy to frolic in the bushes. We spread some of her ashes over the bank onto the bushes. Her dog pack was present and also our close friends. We plan on spreading the rest of her ashes at the monument at the Stanwood Tree Farm this spring. We love and miss our Jenna.

Here is part of our trick or treating group: Hunter-Ninja, Gracie: Major Cutie, Cameron: Mountain Dog, and Carter: puppy. We also had 6 other kids join our group.

For Bryan's 35th birthday part we carved pumpkins at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house. We had lots of fun!

I

You will have to enjoy two pictures of grandpa with his rotozip because I cannot figure out how to erase the other image!

Here is our precious blue eyed lost puppy.

We hope everyone had a wonderful month of October. I promise to blog again real soon!

Carter will be 8 months old next week! I can't believe how quickly they grow and change. He doesn't even look like the crazy haired baby we brought home from the hospital. He is loving daycare and always has a smile for everyone. We are sure that he will be crawiling soon and we are warning Cameron that he better get ready. Bryan believes that Carter will be giving his brother a beat down on a daily basis. Our poor sensitive Cameron is going to have to learn to stand up for himself.

We successfully survived Disneyland! It was a little different pushing a stroller and having to focus on our children, but we had a lot of fun! Carter loved the parades and also went on many rides. Carter also kept to his regular schedule. He took both of his naps in the stroller and always went to bed around 8:30. He even slept through the firework show. Cameron also did a great job, but we made a mistake and took him on the Pirates of the Carribean first. It really scared him, so it took him about 24 hours to get back into the rides. California Adventure was a lot of fun! The lines were short and they offer a lot of unique rides. We are glad to be home and look forward to a relaxing fall. (Did I say relaxing? Since when do the Johnsons relax?)

Bryan finally arrived home 5 days ago, and I am finally recovering and able to get back to the computer. Life was crazy last week! Carter and Cameron were both sick! Carter had a 4 day fever and also had his first two teeth break the surface. Cameron was sassy and had many great tantrums! I just had to laugh, but it put me through the test. I was so tired at one point I had forgotten where I placed Carter. I only had this brain fart for about a minute, but I finally found him on the couch. Yikes! I felt like I was an open wound and the boys were salt shakers. They kept taking turns pouring salt into my wounds. To top it off, Carter cried all the way to the airport. Thankfully we only had to go to Bellingham to get Bryan. They have been happy boys ever since their dad arrived! Their colds are gone and their sweet personalities are back. I am never going to be a single mom for that duration again. I thought of this quote the entire week: "Motherhood is like being pecked to death by chickens."
Now life is great and I am done complaining about my week. We are leaving for Disneyland next week! Cameron is so excited. I think his real excitement centers around the jumbo jet!

Bryan is away for 6 days in Las Vegas at the ABC Kids Show. Here is a photo of him with our mosquito model. (Should I be worried?) The mosquito is for our Roonbug line, and was sent by Insect Shield (The company we are partnering up with.) This is also our first time going to a kids only market. We have always targeted the outdoor market, so I guess we will see what happens.

While Bryan is in Las Vegas, I am home with the boys. Carter has a 102 fever, runny nose and just popped his two bottom teeth. Cameron has a runny nose, sneezes and now a cough. Needless to say I am a little tired. I have to work tomorrow and thankfully my wonderful mother in law is coming up to take care of our boys. We are counting down the days for daddy to return. Keep me in your prayers.

First Day of School

Cameron had his first day of preschool, Carter had his first day of "baby school", and I had my first day of teaching! We are all so tired. It was a rough day for the boys. Cameron was really excited when they first arrived. He even introduced his daddy to his friends. However, he didn't realize that his dad would be leaving hm there. He spent much of the day crying or being comforted by Carter. He wasn't allowed to cry if he went into Carter's room. Cameron also didn't use the bathroom the entire day! Carter didn't want to take a bottle and they forgot to give him his binky! I on the other hand had to tame 27 third graders. What a day! Being a stay at home mom sounds really good tonight.

Gracie turned 10 and we celebrated her birthday at our home. I can't believe our little Gracie is already in the double digits! She will be entering the 5th grade this year.

I hope that everyone finally found our blog. I am so sorry about the mix up on the address. I need your help Kim!

Here is a photo taken today of Cameron in his Puddle Jumper jacket. The company is from New Zealand and they are carrying some of our clothes. Doesn't Cameron look so old in this picture! He will be starting preschool on Tuesday!

Carter and Colbie love each other! Actually, I think it just may be Carter that is in love with Colbie, but she tries to humor him.
Here is a better picture of Cameron. He loves having his picture taken.

This is Cameron, and he is now 3 years old. He loves his spiderman scooter!
This is Carter, our newest family member. He is now 6 months old and a very happy baby.

Our first day of blogging

The Johnsons are finally starting a blog site (from much pressure from Kim and Darlene). I guess it is the thing to be doing, and we were told that others would read our sight. So I am giving it a try. If I can get this sight running then I am going to make one for Roonwear, but right now you can view Roonwear at www.roonwear.com. Make sure you check out our website and sign up for our newsletter.
