Boy's Weekend

Cameron had his first real boys weekend with the Johnson boys. He went to Colville for three days with his dad, Uncle Jason, Uncle Steve, Grandpa Johnson, Cousin Conner and Cousin Hayes. The goal was to hook up with Bryan's grandpa who lives in Colville. They camped on his property in the motorhome and tents. The 4 year olds, Cameron and Hayes, learned how to take part in a peeing contest. I guess it is a Johnson Family tradition. Thank god they never had a girl!

Nobody in the family ever plays with guns unless they go and visit the farm in Colville. I guess it is a great place to shoot.

I guess Cameron still has the cheeks he had when he was 6 months old. He is really funny about noises, so wearing these helped him around guns. He even shot the bb gun, but didn't like grandpa's shotgun.

What did I do while the boys were gone for 3 days? I enjoyed my time playing with Carter. I love the age of 15 months. He was a lot of fun and we did a lot of long walks. Carter really missed his brother, and was so happy when he returned home.

Carter now has the flu and we are praying no one else in the family gets it. We thought it was over and then 24 hours later it came back. I am on my third outfit of the day, and Carter is in his 6th! Poor baby.

Happy 4th Birthday Cameron!

Cameron enjoyed a party with a few buddies at Jungle Playland and a small BBQ with his grandparents. It turned out to be perfect for Cameron.

Graduation

Since January Bryan has had class every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Each class session had a start time, but I never knew when he would be home. He would often come home to everyone sound asleep. He spent his other nights home trying to study as he played with the boys and tried to reassure his wife. I might sound like I am whining, but I am just realizing that I made it through this grueling schedule and I didn't go crazy (you might think differently). Bryan graduated tonight! He was chosen to be a guest speaker because he is one of the class leaders (old guy).

Now what? He starts EMT school June 22nd and it will end in September. He will have class every Monday and Friday. The schedule is a little better, but he will be required to do a lot more studying. When he finishes EMT school he will be able to work and get paid by North County, however, he will be considered a Part Time employee and will not be making very much money. We hope that he will eventually become a full time Fire Fighter for Paine Field (or North County). That would be an ideal situation for us! If he gets hired by Paine Field they will be sending him to North Bend Fire Academy for 10 weeks! I might go crazy if that happens.

Fire Fighter Dad

Bryan has passed all of his FireFighter 1 courses! Yeah, he is a Fire Fighter! He was nominated the class leader by the Chief and will be delivering a speech on graduation night. He also gained his Wild Fire Card and these are pictures of him finishing his water rescue class. Bryan is playing the victim and is in the basket. He spent the entire day in the water at Kyak Point.

Carter loved filling his bucket with rocks. I tried to get him to watch his dad, but he wasn't interested.

Bryan will begin his EMT training this June. It should last a few months. He will begin a shift with North County soon, but having his EMT degree will make him more marketable. We are very proud of his dedication!

P.S. The Kangaroo Farm is in Arlington. We would love to go again with some friends. They also had lemurs, llamas, turkeys, peacocks, and a biting pony. Those are the animals Cameron keeps talkinga about.

Busy Cameron

Cameron has been busy visiting the Kangaroo farm and fishing. He now has an imaginary kangaroo that he talks to and carries in his front pouch. They often go outside and bouce.

Easter At The Zoo

We spent Easter Day at the zoo. The weather was rainy, but the animals were awake! We saw more animals than we have ever seen before. There were only a handful of families at the zoo, so we pretty much had each exhibit to ourselves. We each had our favorites:

Cameron: Lions (They were sleeping, so we can't figure out why these were his favorite.)

Carter: Toucans (Noisy)

Bryan: Jaguar (He was awake at the glass.)

Rebecca: Gorillas (There was a 5 month old baby.)

Carter used his Easter money to ride the Carasoul. He loved it!

This was in the Rainforest Exihibit. Cameron called it the carwash, and the boys ran back and forth. We were the only ones in the exhibit, so we could get a little wild when we wanted too.

Only a 3 year old!

I thought I would share this funny story about a conversation Bryan had with Cameron. They have a dentist appointment at the end of the month, and this will be Cameron's 2nd appointment, but he didn't get much done his first visit. Bryan talks to him every night about what the dentist will be doing to his teeth. A few nights ago they discussed flouride. Bryan told him that the dentist was going to paint chocolate, bubble gum, grape, or strawberry flavors on his teeth. When Bryan asked him what flavor he was going to choose, he was very quiet for a long time and thought about his reponse. He finally said "Dad, do they have goat?"
